Off to a Great Start

January was such a good beginning to 2017, I wondered what February would hold.  Good news!  It is off to a great start.  Today was such a good day.  Knowing I only had one store to service this morning, I took my sweet time in reporting to work.  By a few minutes to 9 a.m, yes you read that correctly, I walked in the front door of the Kroger's in Burleson.  By around 1:20 p.m., I was done for the day and off to enjoy my multi-day weekend.  For lunch, I ate at the Hooter's on the south side of Fort Worth.  I hadn't eaten there for several years because of poor service and mediocre food, but today I had a riot of a good time.  My server hung out at my table, and we laughed till we almost cried.  Surprisingly, we had a lot in common, mainly a very dry sense of humor.  Too bad for me she is married, because I would love to have her friendship.  (Note I said friendship and not a romantic relationship.)  Afterward, I met a friend for a smoke at Paladin Cigars.  This is becoming a semi-weekly ritual for us.  As always, we had a great time of conversation over a cigar.  Now I'm back at the apartment about to begin reading a new book, Killing of the Rising Sun by Bill O'Reilly.  What a day and an excellent beginning to a month only three days in to it.  Can it get any better?  I'm sure it will and expectantly wait for it to turn out that way.  To all my readers, I wish a very happy February!
