Gateway Park (Fort Worth, Texas)

After seven years of living in the great City of Fort Worth, I finally visited Gateway Park.  This is the city's premier park, showcasing anything and everything one could imagine.  Having been spoiled to Hermann Park in Houston, I tried not to have any preconceived ideas or unattainable expectations.  Even if I had fallen prey to those notions, Gateway Park far exceeded what my mind could imagine.  There were softball/baseball fields, soccer fields, Frisbee (disc) golf, conservation outlooks stationed along the trails, and so much more.  I guess the only disappointment was the size of the park, but the city sure crammed a lot of stuff in the space they had to work with.  (Again, I'm spoiled to the size of city parks in Houston.)  For a little over an hour and fifteen minutes, I diligently pedaled my bicycle around the park taking as many pictures as I could.  Thankfully the weather permitted an outing of this kind as I could easily have spent most of the day enjoying God's creation.  If you have never been to Gateway Park, don't wait as long as I did to take part in what the city has to offer.  You will be glad you did.
