My Way Day

Yesterday was My Way Day, and the holiday ended horribly.  Food poisoning!  Ugh!  Even on a day pledged to getting what I want out of life ends in tragedy.  Oh well!  That is simply my luck.  Now I am feeling a little bit better, but still not 100%.  As a result, I am also a day behind in celebrating this obscure holiday.
Under normal circumstance, getting my own way would involve catching a break in life.  Of course I would have enjoyed getting my own way early on in childhood, but now I will settle for the minor blessings as an adult.  What does getting my own way mean?  For starters, life would follow the grand scheme as I had originally planned it.  Now I am content for the small pleasures of life, for example: always getting my favorite table at Buon Giorno, consistently getting the maximum amount of shifts allowed at work, having the money to travel and enjoy destinations every weekend, not raining when I plan on a camping trip, and so much more.  An alternate title for this holiday should be Catch A Break Day.  More appropriate, huh?  I suppose everything happens for a reason.  Maybe there is a hidden blessing involved by not getting everything I selfishly want.  Anyway, I hope my readership was allowed to have their own way, or at least to catch a break, for the holiday.
