Go To An Art Museum Today Day

Today is visit an art museum day.  If at all possible, make plans to visit one this afternoon or evening.  Due to my work schedule, I unfortunately won't be able to do so; however, I have frequented many of Fort Worth's prized art museums in the past.  One such establishment is the Amon Carter Museum located on Camp Bowie Boulevard.  The great aspect of this museum is the fact it is free, and always will be, to the general public.  In addition to special exhibitions throughout the year, the museum has a permanent collection of Remington and Russell western paintings.  The Kimball Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art are also worthy of visiting.  There is an admission fee to tour the Museum of Modern Art.  For the Kimball, the permanent exhibit is free while there is a nominal price for the special collection currently on view.  Fort Worth has a lot to offer in regard to art museums.  (Don't limit yourself to only art museums.  There are many other types out there.  Make use of them.)  Enjoy this special holiday, and appreciate our forebears and what they had to contribute in way of beautiful art.
