Partial Stress Resolved!

While at work, scanning the first store to be exact, the supervisor called to ask how much longer I would be there.  After giving a response, she timed showing up perfectly as I had just finished the project at-hand.  She has to periodically review merchandisers while they are on the job, so her arrival was simply a formality giving no cause for concern.  Once that was done, we chatted about other work-related concerns.  The main topic of discussion was the perceived action of re-assigning two of my stores to a newer merchandiser, who, much to my dismay, makes two dollars more an hour than I do.  As objectively, without too much personal bias, as I could, I stated this guy was well underway to take over the stores, but I would prefer he would wait in the wings, so to speak, as a back-up scanner.  All this guy lacks is experience, a seasoning of sorts, and to pay close attention to detail as data gathering is crucial to the Kroger corporate office.  She decided to go ahead in using the merchandiser in question as a back up, in the event I couldn't work: sickness, vacation, and etc.  This was such a relief.  To re-assign two stores was effectively a pay cut.  Plus, the work is very low-impact physically, which is right up my alley.  (Some of the other "jobs" are more physically involved, and I'm not sure if I am up to the task.)  Then I informed her there is enough padding in my schedule to still take on merchandising the candy at The Home Depot on the east side of Fort Worth.  We agreed to it, and I will begin doing so the very next week or the week after at the very latest.  Life is a give and take relationship, and I felt it was my turn in giving assent to the additional store.  This helps her out tremendously, as well as maximizes the amount of hours worked for the pay period.  (Merchandisers are capped at sixty hours for the pay period.  This is TNG policy.)  Now the only stress I am now seeking resolution for is the truck repairs.  Yes, it is still at the mechanic, and I have yet to receive word as to what the problem is and any possible solutions.  Maybe this next week I will hear something.  Until then, I am praising God for His many blessings.
