Workin' For The Weekend!

I make no apologies for the amount of days off I have from work, especially since I cram a lot in to those three days working for TNG.  (Now if only the money were better.)  Most of the chores I perform on Saturday and Sunday, were taken care of Friday evening.  I'll still have a few items of interest to accomplish tomorrow, but they are barely a blip on the radar.  This means I had a true day off for myself on this fine Saturday.  At first, I thought the near daily bicycle ride was rained out due to the storms last night and this morning, but I did eventually make it out for a spin.  More on that later.  At one o'clock in the afternoon, an acquaintance and I met for lunch at Kincaid's Hamburgers near Hulen Mall.  It was a new place for me as I've never eaten at one of their many locations.  The food was good but rather pricey since everything was a la carte.  If asked, I would eat their again.  Then we headed to Paladin Cigars for a smoke and more fellowship.  There were already a group of guys in the lounge area watching a baseball game on television.  We joined them and proceeded to enjoy our purchases.  Once back at the apartment, I did decide the streets were dry enough for a bicycle ride.  Thankfully the temperatures were cool enough for doing so.  Normally the sun is beating down and the temperatures are scorching at that time of evening.  I headed for downtown and took quite a few pictures.  There was Burk Burnett Park, an Episcopal Church, and a home of historical designation, among other points of interest, that caught my eye during the ride.  Seems like all my outings revolve around history.  Hmm, interesting!  (For those of you who know me, that's no surprise.)  After riding back home, I transferred the pictures to the computer and organized them accordingly.  Is it too early to look forward to tomorrow's bicycle ride?  Hope not!
