Forming a Near Daily Ritual

As of late, I have taken to the ritual of a near daily bicycle ride in the mornings.  Today's outing brought me to a few historical markers indicating Fort Worth's legacy and heritage.  Are you surprised?  Ha ha, I'm not!  Quite a few of these neighborhoods have buildings reminiscent of local grocers and hardware stores before the days of Wal-Marts and Home Depots.  These once thriving businesses were truly the heartbeat of the city.  Most of them now sit empty or have been re-purposed for other endeavors: antique dealers, plumbers, mini-community centers, and so on.  Among the different characteristics of each street I passed, I did find a church with a fellowship hall across the street.  I regard buildings with corners stones as a great treasure.  Such was what I discovered at College Street Baptist Church.  Before the ride came to an end, I did make a trek to a nearby African-American funeral home.  As anyone would guess from knowing me and the type of entries I make, this place had a historical marker as well.  The information it held was fascinating.  Your life will become personally enriched by visiting any one of these places.  I encourage you to learn the history of the city and surrounding neighborhoods in which you live.
