May Day

May Day, or the first of May, has a long, rich history, upon which I've previously written.  As a result, I won't rehash it again.  Instead, I desire to welcome the new month by discoursing the fine day I've had.  This year is really flying by, and I must accept that as a reality.  It seems the older I grow, the faster time slips by me like grains a sand through an hour-glass.  On most days, it is customary I wake up early, typically around 5 a.m.  Instead of making an outing in the early afternoon hours, I decided to frequent the coffee shop early.  At around 8:30 a.m., I darken the door of Buon Giorno in order to read as well as to enjoy several hot beverages.  (One of which was my customary cup of Earl Grey hot tea.)  To my surprise, I stayed there for well over three almost four hours.  Wow!  In addition to reading, I also enjoy people-watching.  Deciding I've had enough for the day, I travelled back home for the remainder of this Monday, the first day of May.  Since then, I began and finished two magazines, smoked a cigar, and enjoyed one of the pipes I own.  Today was a very restful day, and I look forward to much of the same tomorrow, the last of three days off for the week.  I hope today was a good day for those who faithfully read these blog entries.  Have a great rest of the day and be sure to count your blessings.  Farewell!
