Back to the Project At-Hand

After four and a half days off, it is back to the reality of life.  Today is the first of three days of work.  Yes, I only work about three days a week, but they are packed with assignments as I am constantly on the move.  Today I will have some help on my first store training someone on how to scan Kroger's stores.  It's really a one man job, but the supervisor desires to have a back-up scanner in the event anything happens to me.  (Needing time off, moving on to another job, etc.)  Getting away out of town for those few days was such a blessing.  Maybe it's my attitude and perception, but leaving Fort Worth any chance I get does wonders for my psyche.  My soul seems to come alive by engaging life and the world around me.  I try to do that here, but for some reason it isn't the same.  Too bad I can't travel more extensively, i.e.: having the money to do so.  I guess if yours truly was independently wealthy, the course my life would take could be so much different.  Enough of my dreaming, in a sense I am looking forward to work.  The interaction with the Kroger's employees is a lot of fun and offers an opportunity to make contacts and network.  If I ever do find more gainful employment, I will miss this aspect of working for TNG.  In the meantime, I am trying to make the most of what I currently have.  Now it's time to get ready for work.  Until something else comes along, I am counting my blessings.  Have a great day!  (I say that more to myself than anyone else, but I do hope all my readers have the best day ever.)
