Merry Christmas!

'Tis the season to celebrate the birth of the Messiah in a lowly manger in Bethlehem.  This is the reason why Christmas is celebrated; not as a commercial holiday for gift-giving, but a time to worship the one who literally split time in to B.C. and A.D.  According to my church pastor, Jesus was more than likely born around April, which gives cause for the question, "Why do we then celebrate His birth in December?"  The answer to that question is, "I don't know!"  Whenever he was born, the event was miraculous.  First, He was virgin-born.  Then Jesus identified with His creation by becoming a human being, yet remaining fully God.  The life of Jesus can be found in the New Testament and is well-worth reading.  I bet the story will change your life.  However you choose to celebrate Christmas, remember the true reason for the holiday.  It is Jesus we celebrate, not the Black Friday sales at your local retailer.
