Setting the Pace

February is already off to a great start; in fact, Friday, February 2nd, was a day for celebration.  First, I marked three years of living at my current residence.  This is the second longest I have lived at any one address in Fort Worth.  I lived at the Hemphill house for almost three and a half years.  So I am set to surpass that milestone in a few months.  The second cause for celebration was finishing the job with TNG.  At the last store on the last day, I gave a big sigh of relief as I completed the task at-hand around one o'clock in the afternoon.  With a forty-minute drive back to Fort Worth, I was able to mentally and emotionally place behind me the previous two years of employment with this company.  I can definitely tell how stressed I had been trying to balance two jobs, along with some semblance of a life outside of work.  On Saturday, I took some time to actually enjoy life by getting a full-body massage.  Tarrant County College (South Campus) has a massage therapy school.  They solicit people willing to allow students to practice on them in exchange for a free rub-down.  Can't beat that!  At least once, sometimes twice, a semester, I call for an appointment.  The next one is scheduled for Saturday, March 3rd.  Can't wait!  Now that I don't have a second job to contend with, I have begun working six days a week at the bagel shop.  This means I will gain an average of seven to eight hours of overtime.  In figuring what I was spending on gas and maintenance on the vehicle, I am breaking even, if not coming out a little bit ahead, in giving up the second job.  Almighty God has provided such a blessing in gaining the employment with Einstein Bros. Bagels.  May I work unto Him, glorifying the One who is worthy of all honor and praise.  I wonder what the rest of the month and year will hold.  Let's wait to see!
