A Day of Rest and Relaxation...Woohoo!

At exactly Noon, I clocked out from work and immediately began enjoying the upcoming day off that is scheduled for tomorrow.  (This is the first day off I've had since Christmas 2017.)  Such a great emotional and mental weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  The burden of responsibility is no more, or at least till Tuesday when I must take it up again for another grueling six-day work week.  What really adds to the awesome feeling of a day off, is the two hours of overtime I gained before punching the time card to go home.  In addition, the entire shift on Tuesday will be overtime.  (Overtime pay is time-and-a-half the normal hourly wage, which, for me, comes to $16.50 per hour.  Isn't that good news?!)  During the time off, I unfortunately have a few errands to run and a couple of chores to perform.  Other than that, I am determined to do absolutely nothing, except to read and enjoy life.  I can certainly grow accustomed to working only one job, plus a little overtime, along with a guaranteed day off each week.  What more could a person ask for?  Of course that is a rhetorical question not requiring an answer; however, I must continue to recognize Jehovah God for His provision.  If it wasn't for His blessing as an answer to my prayer, I wouldn't have anything in this world.  I must not forget He is in control.  To foolishly and very proudly think I have anything even remotely under my direct management is a recipe for disaster.  I am only a steward of the material blessings bestowed upon me.  Each and every day, I desire to look anew to the One who watches over me.  For right now, I am enjoying the manna from heaven.
