From Hero to Zero
At about 10:45 a.m., I was summarily fired from my employment with Johnston & Murphy. Another job lost again. Regardless of how justified I feel in how I behaved, I'm not completely innocent in what transpired. There is always the part I play in anything that happens in life...I must take responsibility for my own actions. The primary frustration was with the offer of full-time status the company presented. As long as the process took, the perception seemed as if the company was taking their sweet time. In other words, they were dragging their feet on the issue with no intentions to deliver the goods promised. Stuff like this shouldn't be that difficult. Personally, I would rather the powers that be simply tell me to go take a hike instead of playing me for a fool. Of course there were other factors in play, but that was the linchpin to the whole ordeal. I was devastated! This job was one in which I saw a potential career. Even the manager stated my job performance was phenomenal, which seemed strange to hear. Up till the time I heard her say that this morning, the situation gave the appearance I couldn't do anything right to appease her. This job was my ticket out of Fort Worth once my legal obligation ended in August of 2020. All that came to a screeching halt. Now I'm back to square one, wherever that is. The game plan at the moment is to take a few days to a week off from any serious job searching in order to let my head clear. Then I will take a hard look at what I need to do. Even though the weather is forecasted to rain, I am earnest in my desire to head out of town for the bulk of the week. This will hopefully reinvigorate my heart and soul for the difficult task of looking for new employment. I will keep my readers posted on my progress. Many blessings on you. Good night!
