Looking For Something More

My weekly two and a half days off are coming to a close, and they have been truly wonderful.  On Wednesday, after clocking out at 9:30 a.m., I promptly headed to Grapevine in order to visit the city's Historic South Main Street.  On the way over there, I stopped off at Buon Giorno, the sister location to the one I frequent in downtown Fort Worth.  I deliberately made myself stop long enough to enjoy the coffee with espresso, called a Depth Charge, so I could decompress from work.  Once finished with the beverage and mentally ready to continue, I got in the car to travel to the intended destination.  I was in Grapevine almost exactly one year ago, and I thought the area warranted a return trip.  Of course I was excited about filling the time off with personal activity instead of wasting the time away.  There is so much history to take in the process can become overwhelming.  (This time I remembered to bring the charging cord for the phone.  Taking as many pictures as I did, the battery was drained.)  The tour of the area included eating at Jake's Hamburgers and smoking a cigar at Ol' Grapevine Cigars.  By the end of the day, I was a happy camper and ready for home.  The only sour note was a malicious text message from my boss at the bagel shop.  He was still harping on our subject of discussion earlier that morning.  I thought it was crappy of him to try continuing the conversation, but the incident served to show his true colors.  As soon as I find another form of employment, I will bid farewell to Einstein Bros. Bagels.  To end the days off on a good night, I am meeting a friend for an early lunch at Charlie's Hamburgers and then a cigar at Paladin Cigar Shop.  Again, the time off has been great.  Is it too early to look forward to my time off next week?  See you then!
